Meet the Expert Behind the Book

Tick Safety Adventures was created by Dr. Jenny Hall, a public health expert in tick safety and tick-borne diseases. She holds a Doctorate in Community Health Education with a specialization in Environmental Health, is a Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES®) and Health Literacy Specialist, and has over a decade of experience working in one of the most tick-endemic states in the U.S.

Dr. Hall is an Associate Professor of Public Health, Health Sciences, and Healthcare Leadership at Radford University, where she also serves as Associate Dean of Interprofessional Education and Practice in the Waldron College of Health and Human Services. She is also the founder of Ticks in Virginia, LLC (www.ticksinvirginia.com). She has delivered hundreds of presentations and workshops to audiences—from preschoolers to retirees—across local, state, national, and international settings. Her work is grounded in evidence, focused on practical prevention, and designed with health literacy in mind.
